Early Sunday Morning Prayer
Meet in the Auditorium
You are invited to join us for a time of early morning prayer. We gather to seek the face of the Lord for our church as a whole, and for the Lord to move hearts throughout the morning ahead. This focused time of prayer will take place each Sunday morning during our 40 Days of Prayer Series for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Please know that there will be no childcare available during this time.

Fasting Fridays
Fasting is one of the things we recently discussed as part of our 40 Days of Prayer series and have encouraged everyone to participate in fasting each Friday. Remember that there are different types of fasting, from food, media, shopping to social media or TV. You can fast from something for an entire day or maybe just a select period of time during the day. You can learn a little more from the September 30th message or by downloading our Fasting Brochure

40 Days Worship & Prayer Celebration
October 25 | 7:00pm

Join us for a night of celebration with worship and prayer to close out our 40 Days of Prayer experience!  We’ll gather together to praise God through singing and spoken words, to seek His face through prayer and reflection, and we’ll celebrate together what God has done over the 40 days individually and collectively. You won’t want to miss this concluding celebration of worship and prayer to our 40 day journey!

Each day, during our 40 Days of Prayer Series, we will be posting scripture here. We encourage you to use the following as a guide during your time seeking God.

  • What did God say to you through today’s Bible passage?
  • How does God want you to apply this verse to your life?
  • Take a moment to write or pray a response to God.

    2 Chronicles 20:15-17
He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow, march out against them. You will find them coming up through the ascent of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeruel. But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!”

    October 23, 2018

    2 Chronicles 20:10-12
And now see what the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir are doing. You would not let our ancestors invade those nations when Israel left Egypt, so they went around them and did not destroy them. Now see how they reward us! For they have come to throw us out of your land, which you gave us as an inheritance. O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.

    October 22, 2018

    2 Chronicles 20:7-9
O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham? Your people settled here and built this Temple to honor your name. They said, ‘Whenever we are faced with any calamity such as war, plague, or famine, we can come to stand in your presence before this Temple where your name is honored. We can cry out to you to save us, and you will hear us and rescue us.’

    Daniel 9:20-23
I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lordmy God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain. As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.”

    Daniel 9:18
O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.

    Psalm 32:1-5
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
