BG BOOM

BG BOOM is a free community celebration featuring food trucks, games, inflatables, live music, and one of the area's largest fireworks displays. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy an evening with family and friends, and celebrate summer before the fireworks light up the sky.


For our Meet You There adventure, we'll be gathering at BG BOOM where you can Watch Fireworks, enjoy the festival, and collect your Summer Adventure sticker.


Where to Find Us:

Enter the fairgrounds from Brim Road through Gate E and park between Chevy Rd and Ford Rd, just north of the camping area. You'll find some Mainstreeters parked in that area. We'll meet at the Fine Arts Building inside the fairgrounds at 7:00pm. Need help finding us? View the fairgrounds map HERE. 

A few things to know:

  • The event is free.
  • Food trucks will be available if you'd like to purchase food or drinks.
  • Bring a blanket or lawn chair if you'd like a place to sit outside your car. 
  • Bug Spray is recommended.

Some of the best summer memories happen in the simplest moments. Friends on a blanket in the grass with fireworks overhead. Rooting for your hometown team at the ball field. Sharing fair food with sticky fingers. The kind of summer moments that seem small until you remember them later. This summer, we're putting a few of those moments on the calendar.


Meet You There is a summer guide filled with local events, community favorites, and a few Mainstreet meetups happening throughout June, July, and August. Some are events we're hosting. Others are places we'll simply be showing up together. You'll also find a Summer Adventure Bucket List designed to help you make the most of the season.

Pick up a postcard in the lobby, collect stickers at featured Mainstreet meetups, and see how many adventures you can check off before fall arrives. There may even be a few fun prizes waiting at the end of the season for those who fill their postcards! Event details, meetup locations, local events, places to explore, and updates below.

Meet You There: Mainstreet Summer Meetups

These featured adventures are where you'll find Mainstreet meetups and opportunities to collect stickers throughout the summer.

  • Watershed Weekend is a four-day celebration marking the halfway point of the Glass City Riverwalk transformation along the Maumee River. The weekend features live entertainment, community events, outdoor activities, and opportunities to explore Toledo's growing riverfront.


    For our Meet You There adventure, we'll be gathering at the River Crossing Outdoor Expo where you can Discover Something New with some local outdoor recreation opportunities, enjoy the riverfront, and collect your first Summer Adventure sticker.

  • Get ready for the brightest week of the summer at Mainstreet Kids Camp! This year, kids will discover the truth about who Jesus really is through high-energy worship, engaging Bible teaching, games, crafts, and plenty of fun. Over four exciting evenings, they'll learn that Jesus is the Light of the World while making memories and building friendships along the way.

    For our Meet You There adventure, kids can Go to Camp, invite a friend, and collect their Summer Adventure sticker while they're here. Not in the Kids Camp age range? We'd still love to have you be part of the fun. Consider joining the team and helping make Kids Camp happen.

  • Sunday morning at Mainstreet. Sunday afternoon at the ballpark. Come cheer on the Mud Hens with us and enjoy a fun afternoon hanging out with other Mainstreeters. Whether you bring the family, come with friends, or meet a few new people along the way, we'd love to see you there. It's a great opportunity to Catch a Ballgame and spend a summer afternoon together.

  • From fair food and livestock exhibits to rides, entertainment, and grandstand events, the Wood County Fair has been a summer tradition for generations. Whether you're spending the whole day or just stopping by for your favorite fair treat, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

  • Grab some popcorn, invite a friend, and enjoy a fun evening at the movies. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or just looking for a relaxing night out, Movie Night is a great way to wrap up the summer together.


    For our Meet You There adventure, enjoy a Movie Night, collect your Summer Adventure sticker, and check off one more adventure before summer comes to a close.

  • Serve It Up: Back to School Bash is a community event designed to help local families get ready for the school year ahead. From school supplies and clothing to haircuts and other resources, this event is all about supporting our community and helping students start the year strong.

Collect Stickers. Win Prizes

Every featured Mainstreet Meetup is an opportunity to collect a sticker for your Summer Adventure Postcard. The more stickers you collect, the closer you'll get to unlocking this year's prizes.

We're still finalizing the details, but there may be a few fun surprises waiting at the end of the season for those who collect stickers.
