This Christmas, we want to again be a place that blesses others. We hope you to come together as the Church and give boldly and extravagantly to bless others in the name of Christ. Our three recipients are the Salvation Army, UB Global Missions and the start-up of ministry to help those struggling with mental health concerns. Check out each of these initiatives below to begin praying about how you might bless one of them this year.

Mental Health Ministry

The significant response to our November message series has led us to ask the question, “What if…?” We don’t know exactly where the Lord is leading us but feel compelled to see what He might want us to do in the future to serve people with mental health struggles. Financial assistance for counseling? Seminars? Support Groups? The possibilities are wide open, and we know they will take resources to pursue. Your gift will help build a financial foundation for this future ministry.

The Salvation Army

For decades now, Mainstreet has been supporting the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign during the holiday season. In years past, we were the primary bell ringers in the village of Walbridge, but last year’s pandemic forced the campaign to go virtual. Last year the people of Mainstreet responded in a big way with donations to serve Lake Twp. people in need. This year we continue that direction and encourage you to give generously to support those in our own community.

UB Global

UB Global is fulfills the global mandate of the Great Commission by partnering with United Brethren churches. This year we are supporting two of their projects through A Season of Giving.

Macau’s Living Stone Church and Jen Blandin are moving to a new location. It’s in a part of town that has less churches per capita so they are excited about the opportunity to reach more people. Would you help fund the renovation expenses for them to set up the new church?

Food brings people together. As UB missionaries teach baking and cooking, we are developing friendships with Northern Thai neighbors of all ages to bring the Gospel to this unreached people group. Would you help buy kitchen appliances so that they can do this with more people?
